Conference Overview
2020 The Fourth International Conference on Biological Information and Biomedical Engineering (BIBE2020) was held on June 21-23, 2020 via online platform due to the pandemic of COVID-19. Online BIBE2020 aims to provide a platform for scholars and researchers from all over the world to share their research achievements, discuss the hot issues and exchange the new experiences and technologies in the field of Biological Information and Biomedical Engineering.
The BIBE2020 online conference was attended by nearly 40 experts and scholars. The conference consisted of three parts: keynote presentations, oral presentations and poster presentations. Professor Dong Li, from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, presided over the conference.
We were honored to invite two sophisticated keynote speakers to deliver keynote speeches during the conference.
Prof. Bin Chen, our first keynote speaker, from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, delivered a wonderful speech on “Thermal coagula and subsequent hemostatsis detection through laser speckle imaging: aiming at personalized laser therapy of vascular dermatosis”.
His speech focused on “Thermal coagula and subsequent hemostatsis detection through laser speckle imaging”
The second keynote speaker, Prof. Yuxiang Xing, representing Tsinghua University, China, held a speech on “Efficient X-ray CT reconstruction with model-based deep learning”.
In this talk, Prof. Xing introduced the possible techniques to incorporate deep learning with the physical models of CT imaging so that efficient X-ray CT reconstruction methods can be obtained. Exploration and recent progress in her lab were presented for demonstration.
After keynote presentations, there are 8 orals presentations and poster presentations, oral speakers and poster presenters shared their latest research results with the audience, the audience actively and enthusiastically participated in by asking questions and voting.
The first oral speaker, Haoyi Fu, from Yunnan University, delivered a speech on “Prediction of Anuran Antimicrobial Peptides Using AdaBoost and Improved PSSM Profiles”.
The second oral speaker, Qing Wang, from China Mobile Research Institute, gave a speech on “An Automatic Sleep Staging Method Using a Multi-head and Sequence Network”.
The third oral speaker, Ricky Albert, from Tsinghua University, held a speech on “A new hierarchical approach to requirement analysis used for ICD-10 Startup Index”.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Chairman, the distinguished keynote speakers, oral speakers as well as all the audiences. This conference has made a big success because of their supports and assistance. We are expecting more and more experts and scholars from around the world to join this international workshop next year.
